Our Eagles week 15 post-game show was a disappointing one to say the least.
After the Eagles gave the Cowboys a Thanksgiving Day beatdown on their home turf, the Eagles couldn’t get it done this week and lost by a score of 38-27. This was the Eagles last home game of the 2014 season, and it wasn’t the prettiest of football played at The Linc.
We get into analyzing the offense, defense and special teams in a heartbreaking loss for the team and us fans. Discussed at length on this post-game show, QB Mark Sanchez simply doesn’t seem to be a true starting NFL quarterback and played like a back-up. Also, we now definitely understand the need for the Eagles to acquire cornerback(s) as CB Bradley Fletcher is consistently…well, not good. He gave up three touchdowns in this game to Cowboys WR Dez Bryant.
The offense played average as did the defense. Bright spots for this game: K Cody Parkey made two field goals – he’s now 28-30 on the season, DE Fletcher Cox continues to play at a high level and consistently disturbs the opposing quarterback, WR Jeremy Maclin is still doing what he needs to do to help this team win and put points on the board. Also, the Birds went 3-3 in the red zone this week, which was a vast improvement over previous games. Of course, we grade all positions and the coaching after this very disappointing divisional loss.
Catch us for our regularly scheduled PST Podcast Show later this Thursday night in time for your Friday morning commute. Have a good week, Eagles fans!
