What a fantastic Thanksgiving holiday as the Eagles completely dominated the Dallas Cowboys – in Dallas on the road – by a score of 33-10. This now officially makes our Birds the team to beat in the NFC East.
Again this week, RB LeSean McCoy had a fantastic game averaging 6.4 yards-per-carry, 159 total rushing yards and a touchdown. QB Mark Sanchez also performed well this week by not turning the ball over and managed the game with efficiency. Quick and decisive drives are what we saw for the majority of the game and the offense didn’t let up on a gassed Cowboys defense.
The Eagles defense (aside from the Giants shutout game) may have had their best game of the season. Constant pressure on Cowboys QB Tony Romo from the front seven was apparent for just about the entire 60 minutes. Surprisingly enough, a very spotty secondary stepped up tremendously this week and shut down the Cowboys wide receivers.
Yet again, the Eagles special teams were solid. While they did not score a touchdown this week, their consistency has proved valuable. They’re putting points on the board and giving the defense good field position.
We hope you have a great holiday and we’ll catch you next week!
