This week on the show, we’re going to take a look at the four major Philly sports teams rebuilds and give out our grades. We graded rebuilds of the Eagles, Phillies, Sixers, and Flyers in February of this year, and it’s interesting to see how the grades have shifted over the period of eight months. Are the teams trending up or down after a number of drafts and free agency acquisitions?
But first on the Brief News & Views segment:
1. We remember Roy “Doc” Halladay and what he meant to baseball and Phillies fans. (5:00)
2. Eagles Talk: are we now going to expect too much from this team sitting at 8-1, plus our scoring predictions for the next game vs. the Cowboys. (15:45)
3. The Sixers have called up Furkan Korkmaz. (28:05)
On the Table this week we dive into the Sixers, Flyers, Eagles, and Phillies and grade where each team is at during their rebuilding period. After doing this exercise and having a discussion this past February, we wanted to revisit each team to see how performance, their drafts, and free agency acquisitions have transformed their rebuilding processes. The Eagles have, of course, shot up the grading chart. But what about the Phillies, Sixers, and Flyers? Are they trending up or down as we’re seeing positives and negatives from these teams. It’s a great discussion this week on the Table! (34:50)
